Mother’s Day Handprint Poem

Mom is going to love cute handprint crafts for Mother’s Day.

Kids grow up way too fast, so it’s important to document all the little moments that are around!

It seems that Mother’s Day is the second most popular day of the year for flowers.

Mothers love getting flowers, but nothing beats a handmade gift created by their own children.

Handprint art by kids is a special keepsake that can be given to mothers and grandmothers this Mother’s Day.

 

Mother’s Day Handprint Flower Poem Printable

Supplies Needed:

• Mother’s Day Handprint Poem template (link at bottom of post)
• Cardstock
• Printer
• Non-toxic washable paint
• Foam paintbrush
• Paper plate

Directions to make handprint flower poem:

Step 1: Print out the Mother’s day handprint flower poem printable on white cardstock.

You can use regular printer paper if you do not have cardstock.

Cardstock is preferred because it is thicker.

Step 2: Decide what paint color you will use and squirt it out on the paper plate.

Be sure to use safe non-toxic washable paint.

Step 3: Use a foam paintbrush to brush the paint evenly on the palm of the child’s hand. 

Step 4: Help them make a handprint right above the stem on the flower poem template. 

Step 5: Use yellow paint to paint a child’s 4 fingers (leaving out the thumb) and the top part of their hand to make sun rays in the top corner of the picture. 

Optional: Once the paint is dry, frame the printable to give as a gift.
