Snow Globe Paper Plate Christmas Tree Craft

Making paper plate Christmas tree crafts with my kids is one of my favorite crafts because it’s an easy way to get my kids excited about the holidays.

They can help me cut out shapes and create decorations out of plain old paper plates.

I love that we can make our own paper plate crafts without spending too much time or money on them.

The best thing about these paper plate snow globes is that you can use any paper plates you have in the house and you don’t need a lot of supplies.

Paper Plate Snow Globe Craft

For this paper plate snow globe craft, you just need items like construction paper, glue, a popsicle stick, scissors, cotton, and something to write with!

So that’s great because I am sure if you are a mom, then you have all of the items already lying around somewhere.

Snowglobes are just fascinating and are loved by kids and adults.

This paper plate snowglobe craft is a fun and easy project that you can make with your kids.

The supplies are few and the end result is a beautiful decoration that can be displayed all winter long.

How To Make A Paper Plate Snow Globe

Materials Needed:

  • Paper plate
  • Construction Paper (pink, yellow, orange, brown)
  • Felt paper (red, green)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Popsicle stick
  • Cotton

Directions:

1. Gather all of your materials.

2. Remove the middle part of the paper plate. To do that, fold the paper plate in half, then cut the middle part to make a mark.

It will be easier to cut because it has a mark.

You will need the middle of the paper plate for later so be sure to keep it intact as much as possible.

3.  Set aside the half part of the paper plate you remove to make the snowman later.

4. Cut the other half into a wave shape. Then glue it to the bottom of the paper plate. It will be the base for the cotton.

5. Make 3 Christmas trees with green felt paper.

If you don’t have felt paper, green construction paper will do.

6. Add a popsicle stick at the back of one of the Christmas trees using a glue stick.

7. Now let’s make a 3D Christmas tree. Fold the other two Christmas trees in the middle and attach them to the Christmas tree that has a popsicle stick at the back.

8. Now it’s time for fun by making the decorations for the Christmas tree.

Use your pink, yellow, and orange construction paper to cut out small circles as the Christmas balls and a star to be put at the top of the Christmas tree.

9. After cutting your Christmas tree decorations, glue them to the Christmas tree. 

10. Add the cotton below the Christmas tree on the wave-shaped piece of the paper plate.

11. Now make a snowman from the leftover paper plate you removed when you started.

12. Make the scarf from the red felt paper.

13. Make the nose from orange construction paper.

14. Finish your snowman using a pen or marker to draw the eyes, buttons, and hat of the snowman.

15. Glue the snowman onto your paper plate snowglobe craft.

16. Cut a large circle from the brown construction paper, then cut the circle in half.

Glue it behind the bottom part of the paper plate snow globe to look like the snow globe base.
