This paper plate rainbow craft is different than most typical paper plate rainbows.
This rainbow craft uses the paper plate as a white cloud.
Adding cotton balls and a smile to the paper plate gives it a fluffy, friendly base for your yarn rainbow.

Rainbow Craft Supplies:
- Colorful yarn – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple
- white paper plate or white cardstock
- two red or pink pom-pom balls
- glue
- scissors
- black construction paper
- cloud & face outline – optional

Easy Paper Plate Rainbow Craft For Kids
Step 1. Gather your supplies and cut the cloud shape from the paper plate.
You can trace and cut your cloud or download the free cloud outline from the Resource Library.

Step 2. Cover your white cloud with glue.
Then stick on all of the white cotton balls.
Step 3. Wrap each color of yarn around a book ten times each.
Side off the yarn from the book.
Step 4. Make a rainbow with the yarn and glue it to the back of the cloud.
Step 5. Cut out eyes and mouth from black construction paper.
You can use our free face outline from the Resource Library.
Glue the eyes and mouth to the cotton to make a face.
Step 6. Add the pom-pom balls for rosy cheeks.
