How To Make 3D Pumpkins

Materials Needed:

Orange and brown construction paper
Empty toilet paper roll
Double-sided tape
Scissors
Pen
FREE printable pumpkin stem template (found at the bottom of this post)

3D Pumpkin Instructions:

1. Cut strips of orange construction paper. The length of the orange paper strips will depend on how big you want your pumpkin to be.

For a medium-sized pumpkin, you can cut four strips about 1 inch wide and 8 inches long.

2. Assemble the strips in a circular form, attaching the paper at the center with double-sided tape.

Make sure the strips are evenly spaced and overlap slightly to create a rounded pumpkin shape.

3. Insert the pumpkin’s stem Before attaching the last strip. To make the stem, fold the brown construction paper in half.

Draw your stem from the bottom of the folded half.

Then, cut out your stem shape.

Attach the stem to the center of the pumpkin with double-sided tape.

4. Wrap the toilet paper roll with orange paper. Cut a piece of orange paper long enough to wrap around the toilet paper roll with a little extra to tuck in the ends.

Use double-sided tape to attach the paper to the roll, making sure it is smooth and wrinkle-free.

5. Attach the ends of the orange strips to the end of the toilet paper roll.

Use tape to attach the ends of the orange strips to the top and bottom of the toilet paper roll, creating a 3D pumpkin shape.

Make sure the strips are evenly spaced and overlap slightly to create a rounded pumpkin shape.
